Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! This is definitely a time to celebrate and I'm so happy that I'm doing that in New York this year again. Last year I was so fortunate that I got to walk in the actual parade in Manhattan, however this year we will be doing other fun things. 

Dublin again.....

This is the third post about Dublin so this time I will just write about what we did during our weekend there, no facts, just what to do. We flu from Oslo to Copenhagen and on to Dublin on the friday, landed at 6 ish so that meant we would have the evening in Dublin. Started the trip with some free coffe and tea from SAS :)

Straffan & Co Kildare - Ireland

I'm married to an Irish man so every now and then we go to Ireland to his home town, or village is the more apropiate word, Straffan. Straffan is in County Kildare, 25 kilometers from Dublin and has a population of 439 people (that was the number in 2006 so it might be more now, or maybe less?). So what do they have in Straffan? To be honest, not that much. Whenever we are there we end up in the local bar, Friels (the acctually have two local pubs, Friels and Straffan inn). Let just say that they are typical local places in Ireland. However, I would recommend tourist to go to those bars (then I mean local places), as you do get a good feeling of the country side and the local environmet, culture and very friendly Irish people. Good pub grub as well.

Dublin - Irland

Jeg har vært i Dublin så mange ganger at jeg ikke har telling på det lengre, men kanskje ikke så rart når man er gift med en ire. Det som skjer da er at man glemmer å ta bilder når man er der for man har sett det så mange ganger før og vet man vil se det mange ganger til. Det jeg tenkte å gjøre her er rett og slett å blande masse bilder fra forskjellige turer og skrive litt om forskjellige ting man kan gjøre/se. Vil også skrive litt om andre steder i Irland, men det kommer i et innlegg for seg selv senere, vi begynner med en av de beste byene i Europa, DUBLIN!!!!!!

Euro 2012, Poznan - Poland

Euro 2012 was hosted by Poland and Ukrain in June, and of course we had to go there! The sensation of all sensations........... Ireland had qualifyed, no Norway didn't, still waiting for that day to happen.  However, that is four days of mayham I will never forget.
