It's not always so easy to find what you are searching for in a blog, especially a travel blog with loads of different tips and destinations, however this post will make it really easy to find inspiration for your next trip.

Cozumel, Mexico

 

Cozumel er en ikke så alt for liten øy utenfor Riviera Maya i Mexico, og et sted jeg faktisk har vært før. Jeg var på Playa del Carmen for noen år siden og da tok vi en shuttle båt over til Cozumel. Denne øya er også veldig kjent for cruise båtene og det var slik vi kom hit denne gangen.

/Cozumel is an island outside Riviera Maya in Mexico, a place I have actually been before. I few yeras ago I was in Playa Del Carmen and then it is possible to get shuttle boats over to Cozumel Island. This is also a well know place for the cruise ships and that is how we got here this time./

So where am I going.........

 

I had a blog post about a month ago where I was wondering where to travel to in October. Well after looking into a few things we found out what to do. It is actually something very relaxing, I don't have to plan anything during the trip, someone will drop us to the places we are going to, I will visit 4 countries within a week and there is a lot of stuff happening all the time and I can choose if I want to participate or not. Also if I want, I can do different activities in the different countries or I can relax on the beach. Sounds like a great holiday, yeah it will be and it is, believe it or not, a cruise.    

Sopot - Poland

Jentetur til Sopot i Polen en helg, det kan jo ikke bli feil! Her er det bare å pakke kofferten, hyle nedpå et par glass og sette seg på flyet og la helgen begynne! Sopot er nemlig en utolig hot destinasjon for tiden.

/Girls weekend in Sopot, Poland, this just can't go wrong! Pack you suitcase, throw back a few glass of wine and get on that airplane and let the fun begin. Sopot is the hot spot at the moment./

Where to travel in October?

Når kveldene blir mørke, og man kjenner kulden begynner å smyge seg inn, løvet fra trærne er nesten borte og man begynner å undre når den første snøen skal komme, da skal jeg forsvinne! /When the evening is getting darker and you can feel the cold is sneaking up on you, the leaf from the trees are almost gone and you start wondering when the first snow will arrive, then I'm going to disappear!/

Lucca - Travel Tips / Reisetips

/Lucca is a small city in Toscana, about three and a half hours drive from the international airport in Rome. What makes Lucca so special is the great city wall that surrender and hide away the city from its surroundings. What is even more spectacular is how the wall have been kept and that it still looks much like it did when it first was built. Behind these city walls you will fins a very traditional and rick Northern Italian city that increases amongst the tourists every year./ 

Lucca er en liten  by i Toscana, ca 3 og en halv times kjøretur fra den internationale flyplassen i Roma. Det som gjør denne byen så spesiell er en unike bymuren som fortsatt den dag i dag er nesten like robust og inntakt som den en gang var. Bak denne bymuren skuler det seg en meget tradisjonell og rik norditaliens by, som opplever mer og mer turisme for hvert år som går. 

San Marino

I den østlige delen av fjellkjeden Appenninene på Appenninerhalvøya, midt i Italia finner man den lille sjarmerende republikken San Marino. San Marino med sitt beskjedne folketall, 32,629 (registrert i februar 2014) er faktisk verdens eldste republikk og har en historie som strekker seg tilbake til år 301. e.Kr. San Marino by, Città di San Marino, ligger ved foten av Monte Titano, og det er oppe på toppen her man finner de største turist attraksjonene.

San Marino with its inhabitants of about 32,629 (statistics from February 2014) claims to be the oldest surviving sovereign and  constitutional republic in the world, as their history goes all the way back to year 301.The capital, Città di San Marino is located at the foot of Monte Titano, and it is on the top here you have all the tourist attractions./

Düsseldorf bars and restaurants

Düsseldorf has a lot to offer and bars and restaurants is definitely one of them. As you can see from the picture further down even dogs have their own little "bar" outside some restaurants. But again I have heard that Germany in general are very dog friendly. Anyway I was amazed about the great nightlife there and the atmosphere.

Shopping in Düsseldorf

I can say this straight away that Düsseldorf is just great for shopping. First of all Düsseldorf is not a huge city so you can easily walk around from place to place which again means that if you can't carry all your stuff you can probably just drop them off at our hotel and walk back out to do more shopping.

Brooklyn, New York

This is not the first time I have walked over Brooklyn Bridge, however this is the first time that I actually spent a whole day in Brooklyn. We are walkers, that's for sure, so we do use a lot of time just walking around. Going to Brooklyn was no different. We just had to start our Brooklyn day by walking over the bridge. That I think is a must do in New York, it is an absolutely beautiful walk and to get to the underground stop where you start the walk is very easy if you are on the Manhattan side.

Alle flyreiser er forskjellige og det har jo mye å si hvor langt man skal fly. Disse tipsene her sikter nok mer til lengre flyturer men de kan jo være noen tips for alle her allikevel. Jeg har reist med mange forskjellige flyselskaper og flytyper men prinsippet for en bedre fly tur er jo nesten det samme, i alle fall på langrute flyvninger. Dette er mine tips og hvordan jeg får tiden til å gå ombord og hva jeg gjør for bedre komfort.

For noen er disse tingene kanskje en selvfølge men allikevel så er det nok mange som reiser uten av en eller annen grunn. Etter å ha jobbet på en flyplass i mange år kan jeg i alle fall skrive under på mye av dette.
